Meet The Characters

Elena
A thirteenth generation witch -- the first in hundreds of years -- she is the most powerful witch on Earth at present. Dark brown hair, with natural red and gold highlights. Hazel eyes. Tall, a bit of a waif (think more Kate Moss and less Cindy Crawford). Twenty-five years old and a virgin -- not by choice. Her magical lineage means that if she ever gives herself sexually to man, she will lose all of her powers to him (or so she's always been told). To maintain her connection with her magical heritage, she never has. But then, one day, she realises she loves, has always loved, her best friend, Karl. Triggered by dream visits from a demon called Nathaniel, her sexuality awakens, and so does a whole host of family secrets and a part of her that she never knew existed. Unfortunately, this part of her could very well destroy the entire world.

Karl
Your typical "boy next door", at the age of twenty-seven, he's retained his boyish good looks and a smile to die for. Kind, caring and resourceful despite his difficult family background (maybe because of it), he's only ever had eyes for Elena, ever since they were kids. He knows all about her magical heritage, all about why she can never be in a relationship, so he's spent what feels like an eternity trying to get over her -- to no avail. He's always been there for her. Now as adults, they share a flat as "friends". But things change drastically when they share a kiss one night -- what seems like a magical kiss. Events unfold at lightning speed, and Karl's life is about to change forever. His life-long love for Elena is about to be put to the test.

Amy
A blonde beauty, with a beaming smile, she sports a fiery temper and a quirky sense of humour ... but only once you get to know her, and she isn't that easy to get to know, because she has a history that keeps her defences up. One that cuts deep. She's a skilful witch with a natural talent for teleportation ... which, whilst on a mission for the high-priest of The Council, leads her straight into Pueblo's arms. Independent and strong-willed, her sudden attraction to Pueblo throws her off-guard and has her feeling trapped and confused. As their attraction unfolds, so do some very nasty deeds perpetrated by those she trusts the most, and Amy finds herself the victim of one hell of a spell.

Pueblo
A muscle-bound, dark-skinned Dessec demon, over six foot tall, with a baritone voice that turns your insides to mush. With a wicked gleam in his cat-like eyes, he likes to tease Amy mercilessly just to see her temper rise -- it does it for him. He grew up in the Dessec's demon dimension, the portal of which is located in Death Valley USA (the Nevada side, not the California side). He grew up in a loin cloth -- he doesn't like jeans. Sexy and oozing confidence, Pueblo hides a world of hurt, placed on his shoulders by his own tribe. It's led him to cut himself off from a part of himself that he sees as evil and uncontrollable. But then Amy goes missing, and the part of himself he hates might just be his only way to get her back.

Gwain: a brown-haired, grey-eyed, Cockney angel that looks like an old rock 'n' roller, and is over 10,000 years old. With a dry sense of humour and a long past he rarely shares, he knows more than he ever says and hides a soul damaged by sacrifice.

Mary: At 5ft 11" with a mean right-hook, the stunning twenty-eight year old often catches people's attention with her unusual looks -- blue-black hair, frames her ivory skin and piercing sky-blue eyes. She's Elena's assistant manager at Ancient Ways, the shop that Elena owns. But Mary has a dark secret that tortures her mind as well as her body ... and she's about to discover how dark it really is.

We meet both Gwain and Mary in book one, but their story does not begin to unfold until half way through book two. It'll catapult us into the novel, The Last Angel (released January, 2013), for a climactic conclusion to everything we have learnt so far. www.thelastangel.co.uk
